President's Message

Happy New Year! We
continue to experience lots of fun at our general meetings, and have heard from
many very informative speakers. I hope you will come when you can, and bring a
friend or two. I am always looking for gardening projects, educational
opportunities, or conservation needs within our community that we can learn from
and/or participate in together. Let’s put our heads together and do something
beautiful in our community!
Send
me your ideas and we’ll start planning—and doing. January 17th is Florida’s Arbor
Day—make sure to spend a little extra time enjoying the natural beauty around
us. And if you do a special project in recognition of the day, share it with us
in our next newsletter.
Now
is not too early to start planning to attend the FFGC Annual Convention in St.
Petersburg (April 14- 16). I went to my first one last April and thoroughly enjoyed
it. So much information (and lots of fun too)! I hope this New Year brings you
much happiness and good health.
Please
keep your fellow gardeners in mind as you count your blessings this year. Happy
Gardening! …….Julia
